Situation
Amazon entered the market with a unique requirement necessitating a building pad in excess of 1,800 ft in width. This eliminated many sites based on general site configuration. Scannell had previously negotiated the acquisition of the subject parcel and commenced entitlements. This project ultimately required an assemblage of a neighboring 40 acre parcel.
Strategy
Assembling the parcel and successfully navigating an entitlement process was key strategy to delivering the site.
Result
The project team was successful in working with Rensselaer County, Town of Schodack, multiple land sellers to complete the transaction. This also required negotiation with a neighboring home owners association throughout the process.
